The First Day of Fall

Fall doesn’t arrive on the same day for every person. The equinox is a clear, scientific way to mark a season’s opening, but it doesn’t hold much meaning for most people. I understand a bit more if people associate Labor Day or the first day of school with the changing of the seasons. For me, I saw the hints of fall around me but didn’t accept that the season was really here until yesterday. Yesterday was my first day of fall for one simple reason; my window was still dark when my alarm went off. Once I see that the sun has a new sleep schedule, then I can’t deny the truth anymore. Fall is here.
